It’s orange?
Oh my god.
Oh my god.

OK, they call it copper, and in some light it appears brown, looking at actual photos.
Still, close enough to orange minivan .

clearly to help the electricities to flow through it

Well, orange hybrid van at any rate. Not seeing the mini part

its amazing that more car companies dont have “fun” colors on family cars, where there are kids, who know what fun should look like........
should put fun colors on all the boring things......

But look at all that sidewall. Ride quality must be deluxe.

Put all the colors on all the things

And those are 17s, even. (235/65R17 - those are not small tires.)
(You can get 235/60R18s or (on the gas-only ones) 245/50R20s. You know when the freaking 20s are still 50 profile...)

Current Pacifica is already the best looking US-market minivan of all time, this just seals it.
Honorable mention: Original Mazda5

There’s still some weird angles that don’t quite work right for me, but it doesn’t look bad. (The D-pillar specifically comes off as a bit weird to me.)

What a time to be alive.
![]() 02/12/2018 at 21:29 |

Yeah, most manufacturers are doing weird stuff with D Pillars lately, this is no exception. At least they’re not doing that Nissan/Lexus “not quite floating roof” thing.
![]() 02/12/2018 at 21:30 |

that could work too.......
![]() 02/12/2018 at 21:35 |

Well, it’s still smaller than this, which is not available in orange, but is available in yellow.
(And I had to check, but the smallest cargo version’s height, despite the shorter length, makes it still bigger than the Pacifica in terms of volume of a van-sized square prism.)

There’s a woman who parks her Pacifica in my office parking lot and strings out a 100ft extension cord to plug it in every day.

I’d rock it if I had enough kids to need it but I’m a big dork already.

Bagged Pacificas are also a thing.

I kinda want to do a camper van based on one.
I found out that apparently the 12 volt inverter’s rated for 2500 W, which...
1500 W induction hotplate
300 W hot water heater
40 W compressor fridge
Whatever laptops and shit are plugged in
Whatever the vehicle systems draw when turned on (to keep the climate control running, and supplying the 12 volt inverter)
Minus whatever a roof-mounted solar panel can provide... that looks like there’s no need to tap into the HV system, even.
No propane, no touching the factory HV system (just using it for HVAC and for supplying the 12 volt system), yet still getting the benefit of the HV system’s big-ass battery backing everything, and then the engine backing that as an efficient, quiet generator.
